The age-matched C57BL/6 J KO-Tg and Tg mice as indicated were examined for the presence of palpable breast tumor foci that were further confirmed by pathological examination on tissue sections under microscope. The incidence rate of breast tumor was determined monthly as the percentage of the whole population in each group (Tg, 218 mice; KO-Tg, 206 mice).
